Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the United States. She is most famous for her part as Skyler White in the AMC show Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She was Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. The actress fell in love with performing in Preparatory School prior to moving to Ohio with her family in late 1970s. She attended Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna performed in Chicago's theater for many years prior to trying out for film and TV role. Anna was the first to get a major part in the role of Arden in the TV show Down the Shore. Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in 1992. She continued to appear as guest stars on a number of television shows and films including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue up to the end of 1990's, when she was cast in a recurring role as Jean Ward in The Practice. In the mid 2000's she was cast in Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler was Her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully and Deadwood was another movie she appeared in. Gunn took the stage for David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. Gunn acted as the character Numbered Days in a four-part audio show that premiered that will air in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. The strains and eventual demise mirror the last few decades in the story of Walter White.
